It was the year of 1844 when our special family story began to unfold. The view of the world behind the fence of the Ježek homestead has always been different. We knew that returning to a simpler life was not a step back. Our homestead is home to simple and dedicated people who grow chickens in their backyard, bake their own bread, grow their own food, take care of land on our own, and fix what is broken. Some have called us the pioneers of modern times who are able to withstand the craziness of the modern world, but still embrace the benefits that today's life has to offer. We have maintained genuine contact with nature, with each other and with those who join us on our homestead.

We believe that the real things which actually count, have not changed. It is still best to be honest and genuine. Always make the most of what you have, find satisfaction in simple yet supreme pleasures and have the courage to embrace life with both hands. Fresh air, sunshine, warm words, homeliness and genuine hospitality are things that never go out of fashion. Getting home is and will be one of the most beautiful feelings.
